Padang-- Deputy Minister of ESDM, Ir. Archandra Tahar, M Sc. PhD attended the Indonesian National Education Convention (KONASPI) IX/2019 as a keynote speaker of KONASPI IX-2019. In front of three thousand Indonesia academician,Archandra explained that in current era of disruption does not only occur in the  technology, but also in other sectors, such as sports.
Archandra said that nowadays tennis are diminishing and less attractive to the Millennial generation. Furthermore, Deputy Minister of ESDM also explained that in sport, disruption era also occurred in the energy sector because the needs of Indonesia's fuel oil (BBM) were reached 1.4 million barrels per day with crude-oil production around 800 thousand barrels per day. Indonesia has been importing 600 thousand barrels of oil per day.

“Since 2003-2004 Indonesia as an importer of crude BBM, but if the energy has been imported, maybe we can difficult to maintain our country's energy security”, said Archandra in front of academicians from the other region in Indonesia, in Auditorium Universitas Negeri Padang, Prof. Hamka Street, Campus Air Tawar, Padang on Thursday (March 14, 2019).

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra said that the minister of ESDM has been trying to disrupt the energy sector by starting exploration in searching for oil and gas. He said that the exploration one of the efforts to make oil and gas flows in 15-20 years.

“We have to disrupt ourselves and disrupt for long terms, but the exploration takes 6-10 years, but if we export the oil and gas, we need 5-10 years to flow the oil and gas,” said Archandra. Meanwhile, Archandra explained another step was disruption in terms of policy, to change the fiscal systems that was more attractive to investors in supply oil and gas blocks from the previous cost recovery to gross split.

He said that the changes had a positive impact on the oil investment and gas in Indonesia. The investor of gas and oil are welcome to offer the gas and oil in 2017, so that Indonesia has been selling five blocks and nine blocks in 2018.
