Professor Johan Pion, a Professor of Talent Identification in Sports from the Netherlands, as the delegation of HAN University (Netherlands), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D. at the Auditorium Building of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) on Tuesday (November 14).

The signing of the MoU where took place at the last session of the opening of the International Conference on Sports Science, Health, and Recration (4 th ICoSHR) was witnessed by Vice-Rectors I, II, III, and IV of UNP, namely Prof. Yunia Wardi, Syahril, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ardipal, and Prof. Syahrial Bakhtiar, and by hundreds of academics at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of UNP.

"Through the signing of this memorandum of understanding, we hoped that it can enhance bilateral relations between Indonesia and Netherlands," the Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri said.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector IV of UNP, Prof. Syahrial Bakhtiar as the person in charge of the cooperation said that the MoU between UNP with HAN University is one of UNP's commitments to be the global university in the future especially in order to realize its vision to be one of the superior universities in Southeast Asia.

On the same day, Prof. Ganefri also signed MoU with Universitas Putra Malaysia. "It is expected that the MoU can help on facilitating the process of conducting research, student exchanges, and increasing the capacity of UNP’s lecturers," Prof. Syahrial Bakhtiar said.
