Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) response to fulfill the mandate of the Law of Public Information Disclosure (UU KIP) on the implementation of KIP was resulted to the Awarded of UNP as the top five categories for “Towards Informative Public Institution for Universities”.

The Commission of Public Information analyzes and qualifies UNP as the top five among of the 7 Universities (PTN) on “Towards Informative” category.

In the first, second, third, and fourth position ranks are gotten by Univiersitas Tanjungpura, Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Brawijaya (Unibra), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) while the fifth position are gotten by UNP and the six with seven position are gotten by Universitas Negeri Malang (UNM) dan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

For this reason, UNP is encouraged to make “the openness of information” as a culture in order to realize and to improve the good governance and management of PTN in the future.

The Award Ceremony of the 2018 Openness of Information of the Public Institution which was held in the Vice-President Palace on Monday (November 5) was attended by the Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, accompanied by Vice-Rector IV, Prof. Syahrial Bakhtiar, and the Head of Cooperation and Public Relations, Novri Elvida.

"I ask lecturers, staffs, and the all of academic community to give more attention to the exploration of the academic community activities of the UNP," Prof. Ganefri said.
