The opening of the Social Service on Blood Donation which in collaboration with the Don Bosco Alumni Association of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), (Monday, September 24), was opened by the Governor of West Sumatera, Irwan Prayitno, at the Pandopo of the Faculty of Languages and Arts.
The Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, said that the cooperation between KSR PMI UNP, IADB, and the support of Pemko Padang was deserves to be praised, because IADB has shown its existence as an alumni who has done humanitarian goodness.
Ganefri appealed to students and academics of UNP to be able to take advantage of the momentum of the social service by registering as participants.
"The social service was held to thank to the togetherness, assistance, contribution and participation of IADB alumni who spread throughout Indonesia," H. Joi Kahar said.
The presence of the Governor of West Sumatera, Irwan Prayitno, was inseparable from the form of the West Sumatera Government's support for the IADB plan which wanted to target 1000 donors.
Before opening, the Governor of West Sumatera appreciated what IADB was doing. This should be followed by other alumni so that there was no shortage of blood bags at the PMI in Padang and West Sumatera.
In addition to the Governor of West Sumatera, the Rector of UNP, the Mayor of Padang, Mahyeldi Ansyarullah, Vice-Rector III of UNP, Prof. Ardipal, and the deans within of UNP were attended at the opening of this event. (Public Relations of UNP/Translated by Shilva Lioni)
