Universitas Negeri Padang holds an English Test as Foreign Language (TOEFL) for the new students of SNMPTN. A total of 2.279 new students through the UNP language technical implementation from Wednesday to Thursday (July 2-3, 2019) .

"At this time, many companies require a standard of English language by looking TOEFL score. The new student requires taking the TOEFL test with a minimum of TOEFL score 500. For the students, which have the best TOEFL score are able to follow 15th International Study Program, " said the Rector of UNP on Friday (July 5 , 2019) in his office.

Furthermore, the Head of Bureau BPAKHM, Ahmad Hamdani, MM explained that the implementation of TOEFL test for the new students of SNMPTN 2019 have been running smoothly. A total of 2.279 new students of SNMPTN 2019 follows the TOEFL test from Wednesday to Thursday in 28 locations UNP campus.

“Based on the instruction of Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D, the TOEFL test as one the effort to realize the vision of Universitas Negeri Padang becomes one of the superior universities in the Southeast ASIA in the fields of education, science, technology, sports and art in 2020 based on devotion to God. Prof. Ganefri also added UNP would, will always improve the quality of the students to compete at the national and international level.

Implementing TOEFL test for the new students as one effort of UNP to improve the quality of the UNP students. Thought the TOEFL test, the students can know the ability of their English language. The TOEFL test as the effort to ensure the learning process in Universitas Negeri Padang. Every new student carries out the TOEFL test on the computer labor at UNP. The location of TOEFL test in Labor of Electronics, Computer Labor of Faculty of Engineering, Labor of Civil Engineering, Labor of mechanical Engineering, of FIK, Labor of Electro FT, Computer Labor of FIP, Computer.
