At the end of the 112th Graduation Ceremony which was held from Saturday to Monday (September 15-17, 2018), the Executive Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) officially accepted the submission of new alumni members by the Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph. D. The acceptance of the alumni members was received by the General Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of UNP which on this case was represented by the Secretary of Executive Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of UNP, Drs. Yukon Putra, M.Sc.

From the three days of the 112th Graduation Ceremony of UNP, the General Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of UNP which was represented by the Secretary, Drs. Yukon Putra, M.Sc., has received as many as 3,103 new members of the Alumni of UNP who are graduated from Doctoral, Masters, and Bachelor degrees from various study programs.

After handing over new members of the alumni, the reading of the alumni’s pledge was guided by the Secretary of Executive Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of UNP, Drs. Yukon Putra, M.Sc.

On the first day of Graduation Ceremony, Saturday (September, 15), Ali Mukni revealed that he hoped for the contribution of the alumni of UNP for developing quality human resources.

In addition, Ali Mukni also asked for the alumni of UNP to appreciate the creativity and the hard work of the nation's children and to establish cooperation with other alumni from other university because UNP is one of the universities which established by the first president of Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno.

"Alumni must work together with the government and must be willing to fight and to compete in terms of improving the quality of human resources of the Indonesian people", Ali Mukni said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary who also the former Indonesian Education, Drs. Yukon Putra, M.Sc., asked the graduates of UNP to improve their synergy with Alumni from their faculties which was the core strength of the Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) itself in order to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. “Not only by the natural resources, the progress of a nation is determined by qualified human resources”, the Secretary of the Board of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) accompanied by the member of the Board, Muslim Bustami, said.
