Community Services with Western PTN BKS in 2019, Rector of UNP Sends 10 Students to Simalungun and Ternate

Padang—Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D released ten students to follow the community service (KKN) with the west state university at Simalungun District, North Sumatra, Ternate and North Maluku on July 12, 2019. The ten UNP students BKS PTN get impressions and messages from Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D that through this program, we hoped the students could give a good impression and sincere impression. 

"We hoped that the students are able to give the best service to the surrounding community. Goodbye, please maintain the name of campus and uphold the values of discipline, honesty and responsibility" said Prof. Ganefri, when releasing the departure of the eight students at the UNP Rectorate. Furthermore, Head of Service Center/Chairman of KKN Management, Drs. Elfi Tasrif, MT explained that the aimed of the Joint Community Service Program is to transform the regular Community Service program into learning and empowerment based learning and improve student empathy and care, apply science, technology in team work and interdisciplinary and the values of nationalism personality, spirit of Pancasila,  tenacity, ethos work, responsibility, independence, leadership, entrepreneurship and enhance national competitiveness.


“UNP as one of the universities who participated by sending ten students from various departments and faculties of Universitas Negeri Padang to follow the community service (KKN)”, Said Elfi Tasrif. The Nationality KKN was held on July 14 August 19, 2019, in Medan, North Sumatera, Ternate, and North Maluku. Vice Rector 1,2,3 and 4 also attended to release ten students from Universitas Negeri Padang. The ten students are Rahmat Riandi (FIP), Alfarizi (FMIPA),Angel Yostika Nainggolan (FPP), Defra Yolanda Putra (FIK), Meldiya Kismonia Chanda (FIS), Ardi Chandra (FBS), Fadhli Wavi (FT), and Dicki Candra (FE).

Elfi Tasrif also added that this activity goes on 30 days, and we hoped that the students can integrate their study experience from any culture and academic environment. The students can develop their skills, confidence, tolerance, and leadership in facing the reality of social life in industrial revolution 4.0. The students will follow various activities like local craft training and food training, cheerful genre, leadership, carnival genre, UMKM training, and GAPOKTAN. (Public Relations of UNP)
