Universitas Negeri Padang Participating In The Pukyong National University And The Korea-Indonesia Public Universities Academic Network Consortium

From the 22nd to the 23rd of May 2024, Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) participated in the Pukyong National University & the Korea-Indonesia Public Universities’ Academic Network Consortium held in Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea whose objective is to establish a platform facilitating student exchanges, research collaborations, and academic interactions between member universities of the consortium. Under the instruction of the Rector of Universitas Negeri Padang, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D, the Director of Internationalisation, Prof. Rusnardi Rahmat Putra, Ph.D Eng. was commanded to join the consortium as the representative of UNP in which UNP position in the consortium is as one of its founding members.

The consortium held for two days was initiated with a welcoming reception for all the university members of the consortium followed by the main event on the next day. The event consisted of welcome speeches by the president of Pukyong National University and the representatives of participating Indonesian Universities, a presentation of the formation of the consortium, the signing ceremony of the consortium agreement, and a discussion session between the participating universities.

Last year, this consortium was attended by the Rector of Universitas Negeri Padang, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D, and Vice-Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Yasri, MS. It is hoped the follow-up meeting of this consortium can lead to the continuation of many endeavors that realize comprehensive student and academic engagements among the partnering universities.
