Collaboration And Socialization Of Psychofusion Family Harmony Book: UNP PKM RSH Psychofusion Team39s Innovative Efforts To Strengthen Family Relationships

Padang – The PKM RSH Psychofusion team from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) carried out a book socialization and dissemination activity entitled Psychofusion Family Harmony on May 19, 2024 as a result of humanities research in national PKM Funding. The event was opened by the Vice Dean 1 of the UNP Faculty of Psychology and Health, Dr. Farah Aulia, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, marking the start of a series of activities involving various elements of society and youth communities.

This activity began with an official opening followed by a session of socialization and dissemination of research results. In this session, the research team introduced the Psychofusion Family Harmony book to the participants. The book is designed as an interactive guide to strengthen family relationships, especially for adolescents.

The event was attended by a number of prominent invited guests, including the West Sumatra Health Ambassador, Padang City GenRe Ambassador, Padang Children’s Forum, and West Padang Children’s Forum. They were present as representatives of the adolescent community and participated in this important collaboration. During the event, the interactive guidebook was handed over to the teenage community to be used as an interactive medium to strengthen teenage family relationships in Padang City. In addition, this event also received full support from internal campus organizations such as the UNP Psychology Department Student Association (HMD) and the UNP Campus Communication and Broadcasting Activity Unit (UKKPK) who were also present to support this activity.

In her report, the Head of the Psychofusion RSH PKM Team, Sella Twuentika, said that the Psychofusion Family Harmony book had gone through experimental research to test its effectiveness. The results showed that the book is effective in improving and strengthening family relationships. Sella hopes that through collaboration and the handover of this book to the youth community, it can help improve the quality of adolescent and family relationships in West Sumatra.

Vice Dean 1 of the UNP Faculty of Psychology and Health also gave his views at the event. She emphasized that many problems in life start from problems in the family. Therefore, this research is very important to build good relationships in the family. She also explained that most research only focuses on the family in general, but the innovation in this research emphasizes that adolescents can also play an active role in strengthening family relationships.

With this socialization and dissemination activity, it is hoped that the Psychofusion Family Harmony book can be an effective tool for the youth community in strengthening relationships with families, and become a good first step to improve the quality of family life in West Sumatra.
