UNP Department Of Science And Environment Meets Families In Bukittinggi

Bukittinggi- The Department of Natural Sciences (IPA) of Universitas Negeri Padang held a family gathering at the UNP Mess, Belakang Balok, Bukittinggi (11-13/10/2024). The event aimed at strengthening the relationship between families was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Dr. Yulkifli Amir, and the Head of the Department of Science and Environment, Dr. Aulia Azhar. 

 In his speech, Dr. Yulkifli Amir, explained that the family gathering event of the Department of Science and Environment was appreciated by UNP Rector, Krismadinata, Ph.D. “In addition to the university’s appreciation for the excellent accreditation achievements achieved by the Department of Science and Environment, this family gathering event is intended to strengthen friendship between families,” he explained. 

According to UNP Rector Krismadinata, Ph.D., as quoted by Dr. Yulkifli, family support is very significant in increasing the work ethic of teaching and education personnel in carrying out their mandate. Dr. Yulkifli added, without maximum support from the family, it is impossible for lecturers and education personnel to work well. 

The family gathering event was also filled with tadabbur verses of education with Dr. Irwandi Nashir, a lecturer at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, Friday (11/10/2024). In his surahan, Dr. Irwandi Nashir, explained the verses of education in the Qur’an that guide how to be wise in inviting. 

He explained, through surah an-Nahl, 125, humans are taught to be wise in inviting others to the path blessed by Allah Ta’ala. “How to invite wisely is very important for parents to be successful in educating children and fostering families,” explained Irwandi Nashir. 

According to him, inviting wisely is realized in the form of prioritizing exemplary before inviting, captivating hearts before giving directions, giving directions before giving burdens, gradually giving burdens, and making it easy, not difficult.
