UNP Tabligh Akbar With Ustadz Adi Hidayat: Reviving Islamic Values According To The Times

Padang – Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) held a tabligh akbar with Dr. Adi Hidayat, Lc., M.A (UAH) on Sunday (13/10/2024) at the UNP Auditorium. More than six thousand people packed the UNP Auditorium to follow the tausiah of the graduate of Kuliyyah Dakwah Islamiyah Libya.

Not only packed the auditorium, the congregation of the grand tabligh was also seen crowding the UNP Al-Azhar mosque and the open space in front of the UNP Rectorate to watch live streaming of UAH’s tausiyah which was broadcast on the UNP TV Youtube Channel through the UNP Rectorate Videotron.

In his tausiyah, UAH dissected a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah RA. The hadith reads: “Verily Allah will send to this ummah at the beginning of every hundred years someone who will renew (revive) their religion.”

“What is the hadith in question? The Prophet said, you will find. In every hundred years of the development of that era, the changes of that time, reformers, great people, visionaries, who will revive the values of religious teachings, Islamic values, according to the needs of the era and time,” he explained.

“At this point I want to continue the Chancellor’s remarks earlier, how UNP connects and inspires the world and shows the world, at this point change and civilization will begin,” he continued.

Furthermore, UAH also mentioned the National Education System Law no. 20 of 2003, the first article in point b, namely that the state seeks an education system that realizes faith and improves piety and noble character.

Meanwhile, UNP Rector, Krismadinata, Ph.D in his remarks said that as a campus that grew and developed on a strong Minangkabau earth with the philosophy of Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi KItabullah, UNP implemented it one of them with the UNP Motto Alam Takambang Jadi Guru, which is actually in accordance with the Islamic concept of learning from Kauliyah verses and Qauniyah verses or from text verses and context verses. 

“Metaphysically means studying the signs of Allah’s greatness that can be seen from natural phenomena to recognize and strengthen faith in Allah SWT. This conception and way of thinking is the strength of surau education in the Minang realm that gave birth to great figures, which we always adopt and integrate in learning on this beloved UNP campus, “he explained.

He further said that the Tabligh Akbar method is one of the methods aimed at Affectively to strengthen the relationship between Muslims at UNP or increase the spirit of the academic community in their knowledge of understanding Islam and also residents around the campus, then cognitively will add to our Islamic insight about the da’wah material delivered by the speakers.

“Alhamdulillah, we have present with us this morning the famous young Ustadz, Ustadz Adi Hidayat (UAH) is an Islamic figure who is the pride of Muslims in Indonesia today, he is a smart, assertive, energetic and humorous person, and gives a bright da’wah spirit with innovative studies that enlighten and certainly give new enthusiasm with a strong and deep scientific tradition background about the Al-Quran and Hadith,” he added.

Also present at the grand tabligh were the Chairperson and Secretary of the UNP Board of Trustees, Chairperson and Secretary of the University Academic Senate, UNP Senior Executives, Vice Chancellors, University Secretaries, Deans and School Directors within UNP and their staff, Heads of LPPM and LP3S Institutions, Directorates, Heads of Agencies and Heads of SPI, Lecturers, Tendik, students who are the academic community of Padang State University.
