On this occasion, there was an understanding between the two parties to collaborate in implementing education, research, and community service (Tri Darma of Higher Education).

It is agreed that there will be a focus on student mobility, visiting lecturers, and course programs in the education sector, as well as the field of research, joint research, joint publication, and joint hosting of international seminars. Prof. Dr. Anton Komaini added, “UNP currently has a special scheme to conduct research with universities in Malaysia through the International Collaborative Research scheme.”

Likewise, the field of community service currently also has a scheme through the Ministry of Education and Culture’s DRPTM grant and PNBP at LPPM UNP.

The plan to implement this activity will start next year and continue in the following years. It is hoped that this activity can further raise the reputation of Universitas Negeri Padang (especially the Faculty of Sports Science) so that it can compete at national and international levels.

The Faculty of Sports Science has a tagline, #FIKUNPUNGGULDANBERQUALITAS. Hopefully, this can support and make Universitas Negeri Padang successful in becoming a world-class university.
