UNP DKV Visiting Lecturer Presents Prof. K From Universiti Putra Malaysia

Visiting lecturer is an activation program in encouraging Universitas Negeri padang towards a World Class University. On Thursday, (18/4/2024) the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program held a lecture on the Ethics of the Design Profession which presented Prof. Dr. Khairul Aidil Azlin B. Abd Rahman or more popularly known as Prof. K. He is an expert in industrial design and technology from Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The activity began with an introduction by the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Hendra Afriwan, S.Sn., M.Sn. Followed by a lighter by the teaching team, namely: 1. Dr. Haris Satria, M.Sn; 2. Ir. Drs. Heldi, M.Si., Ph.D; 3. Dwi Mutia Sari, S.Ds., M.Ds. The topic in this session, namely: Designer Professional Ethic.

The lecture was held online using the zoom platform and attended by DKV students class of 2021. The talking points in this session are: Professional Ethics for Designers, Components of Ethic, Design Competency. The material is presented interactively by combining all visual and audio visual elements in the presentation.

The interaction between Prof. K and students was very good, this can be seen by the high interest of students in attending the class. This Visiting Lecturer program was held in 3 times, namely: 18, 25 & 29 April in the January-June 2024 semester.
